Job Title: Junior Product Visualisation Designer (Brand & Concept) Location: [Remote] but must reside in Cape Town

Job Specification

About the Role: We are looking for a multi-disciplinary designer to join our team, focused on bringing branded product ideas to life through high-quality visuals and presentations. This is not a traditional graphic design role, nor a CAD-heavy industrial design position. Instead, the role sits in between — combining design thinking, visualisation, and brand application to create compelling product concepts for clients.

Offer

You will be responsible for translating brand identities into realistic, manufacturable products that feel fresh and distinctive, to use in our client proposals and presentations. Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop branded product concepts across a variety of categories (glassware, accessories, textiles, custom designed led products etc.)
  • Create and work within product templates and dielines for accurate layout and branding application of client assets.
  • Produce high-quality, realistic mockups of products using supplied brand assets.
  • Use AI tools to generate and explore new product ideas and combinations.
  • Apply strong understanding of lighting, angles, materials, and realism in all visual outputs.
  • Build client-ready presentations that clearly communicate product ideas and specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure concepts are both creative, feasible and according to client briefs and quotes.
Core Tools & Skills You should have working knowledge of:
  • Adobe Illustrator
    Creating and editing product templates, applying (or using client assets) branding within templates, and preparing layouts for proposals
  • Adobe Photoshop
    Photomanipulation,deep etching and mockups — applying client assets onto products, changing colours of products and creating realistic visuals
  • AI Tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Gemini etc.)
    Use AI as a supporting tool to assist with research, ideation and workflow efficiency while relying on strong design skills to produce final client-ready work.
  • Microsoft PowerPoint
    Building clear, polished presentations to showcase product concepts to clients
Experience
  • Approximately 2-4 years of commercial design experience.
    • Experience in a design agency, branding studio or in-house creative team preferred.
    • Recent graduates without commercial experience are unlikely to be suitable for this role.


What We’re Looking For
  • Strong Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop skills with commercial design experience.
  • A good eye for layout, colour, branding and visual detail.
  • Someone who enjoys solving problems and learning new ways of creating product visuals.
  • Able to follow detailed briefs and accurately execute client requirements.
  • Curious, coachable and open to feedback.
  • Comfortable working in a busy studio environment where priorities can change.
  • Someone who takes pride in producing neat, accurate work.
Nice to Have (Not Essential)
  • Experience working with FMCG or beverage brands
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or materials
  • Any exposure to 3D thinking or product design workflows (no CAD required)
