Insurance advisory is handled through Pillow, an independent vertical focused on transparent, long-term protection.

About The Role -
We are looking for a high-ownership Head of Brand Marketing to define, build, and scale the 1% Club brand across every customer touchpoint. This role sits at the intersection of brand strategy and storytelling — you will own brand positioning, identity, voice, and the campaigns that bring it to life across digital, social, and offline channels. If you think in narratives as fluently as you think in metrics, and know how to build a brand that people trust with their money, we want to talk.
Key Responsibilites
1. Brand Strategy & Positioning
Define and own the 1% Club brand strategy — positioning, personality, and differentiation in a crowded fintech landscape
Translate business goals into a clear, consistent brand narrative across education, fintech, and advisory verticals
Conduct ongoing market and competitor analysis to keep the brand sharp, relevant, and category-defining
Act as the custodian of brand equity — ensuring every campaign, product, and partnership reinforces the same story
2. Brand Identity & Guidelines
Define and protect the brand’s voice, tone, and visual identity across all channels
Build and maintain brand guidelines covering messaging, design language, and tone of voice
Partner with design and product teams to ensure brand consistency across the app, website, and marketing collateral
3. Brand Campaigns & Storytelling
Plan and execute large-scale brand campaigns that build awareness, trust, and recall
Oversee content strategy including blogs, case studies, social, newsletters, and thought leadership
Lead creative development across video, social, and offline brand moments — from concept to execution
Partner with the content and creator teams to scale founder-led and community-led storytelling
4. Brand Partnerships & Community
Identify and build strategic brand partnerships, collaborations, and sponsorships that extend reach and credibility
Drive employer branding and community-building initiatives in partnership with HR
Represent the brand at industry events, media opportunities, and public-facing moments
5. Cross-Functional Alignment
Work closely with performance marketing, product, and sales teams to ensure brand and growth efforts reinforce each other
Align with leadership on brand investment priorities, campaign calendars, and long-term brand-building roadmaps
Provide brand and creative guardrails for performance campaigns without slowing down velocity
6. Analytics & Reporting
Own the marketing analytics stack — GA4, Search Console, CRM, and BI tools
Build weekly and monthly performance reports for leadership with clear insights and action items
Use data to identify growth levers, diagnose funnel drop-offs, and prioritise initiative
7. Team & Leadership
Build, manage, and mentor the marketing team across SEO, performance, content, and design
Set clear OKRs and KPIs for the team and create a culture of experimentation and accountability
Partner closely with founders and cross-functional leaders to align marketing with business goals

Have 6–10 years of marketing experience with at least 2–3 years in a brand leadership role
Have deep hands-on expertise in brand strategy, content, and creative direction — not just campaign execution
Are equally comfortable in a brand brainstorm and a boardroom conversation on positioning
Have built or scaled a brand in a high-growth startup, FinTech, Investment-Tech, or D2C environment
Think in systems — you build brand playbooks and guidelines, not just one-off campaigns
Are obsessed with craft and consistency, but never lose sight of the human behind the brand
Thrive in ambiguity and can context-switch between strategy, storytelling, and stakeholder management
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field
Proven track record of building or scaling a brand from the ground up
Strong command of brand strategy frameworks, positioning, and messaging architecture
Experience leading creative and content teams — in-house or with agency partners
Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder management skills
Strong collaborative instinct — comfortable partnering with performance marketing and product teams
