As the Head of Own Brand, you will take ownership of the end-to-end lifecycle of our private label portfolio, combining category management, product development, and brand strategy.


You will lead a high-performing team and collaborate cross-functionally to deliver innovative products, accelerate speed-to-market, and build a differentiated brand offering that resonates with customers.


Your Strategic Impact...


  • Define and execute the long-term product roadmap and brand architecture, informed by market trends, insights and competitor analysis
  • Drive commercial performance, including sales, margin, customer penetration and market share
  • Optimise pricing, promotions and marketing ROI through data-driven decision making
  • Lead end-to-end product development, from concept and trend analysis through to launch
  • Partner across merchandising, supply chain, quality, legal, brand and creative teams to ensure seamless execution
  • Oversee packaging, branding and go-to-market strategies across retail and digital channels
  • Lead supplier negotiations across local and international manufacturers, ensuring quality, cost and compliance standards
  • Champion innovation, speed-to-market and continuous improvement
  • Develop and implement brand playbooks and style guides to ensure consistency and impact
  • Lead, coach and develop your team to deliver high performance and growth

 

The expertise you’ll bring...


  • 8+ years’ experience in category management, merchandising or product development, with strong own brand/private label exposure
  • Proven track record of delivering commercial growth and product innovation
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, pricing and margin optimisation
  • Experience managing complex supply chains and supplier negotiations
  • A creative and strategic mindset, with a deep understanding of brand positioning and customer needs
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce or a related discipline
