As a Corporate Brand Marketing and Event Management Consultant, you will provide vital logistical, operational, and creative support to Event Managers within the U.S. Events Team, with a heavy focus on championing and managing CME Group’s brand presence. This contract position is ideal for a versatile, detail-oriented professional who thrives on helping out where needed. You will support a dynamic portfolio of events of varying scopes, ensuring that every brand touchpoint—from physical environments to corporate gifting—is executed flawlessly to engage business stakeholders and elevate our global image.

Location & Work Model:

  • Location: Must be based in the Chicagoland area.
  • Work Schedule: This role requires working onsite 4 days per week at the CME Group Chicago Headquarters.

Principal Accountabilities and Job Requirements:

  • Brand Presence & Alignment: Act as a custodian of the CME Group brand. Ensure brand standards, visual identity, and messaging guidelines are flawlessly and consistently applied across all digital, physical, and onsite event assets with uncompromising attention to detail.
  • Corporate Gifting Oversight: Support management of  brand-aligned gifting requests from various internal departments and external organizations. Coordinate the sourcing, inventory tracking, and distribution of premium branded merchandise.
  • Event Manager Support: Partner closely with Event Managers to assist in the coordination, logistics, and execution of a diverse pipeline of multiple  concurrent events and corporate initiatives (both in-person and virtual).
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work effectively with internal business stakeholders to help execute events and brand activations that align perfectly with their specific business goals.
  • Versatility & Adaptability: Serve as a flexible team player willing to jump into various projects, handle changing priorities, and wear multiple hats to ensure seamless event and brand delivery.
  • Creative Contribution: Bring creative thinking and fresh ideas to event concepts, thematic elements, gifting options, and the development of branded marketing collateral.
  • Data & Campaigns: Manage event RSVP lists and client data within event campaigns. Gather post-event feedback to assist in drafting success reports.
  • Asset Coordination: Collaborate with the in-house creative team to facilitate the development, proofing, and delivery of event invitations, signage, and marketing assets.
  • Onsite Support: Provide hands-on onsite support at relevant events, representing the CME Group brand with high energy, professionalism, and sharp attention to presentation.

Skills and Requirements:

Core Qualifications:

  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous organizational skills with a laser focus on the finer details, ensuring absolute consistency in branding, inventory management, and event execution.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas clearly and interact professionally with corporate stakeholders.
  • Creativity & Problem Solving: A creative mindset with a knack for thinking outside the box to enhance brand experiences, elevate gifting initiatives, and solve logistical challenges.
  • Experience & Background: Experience or background in brand marketing support, event coordination, or corporate hospitality. Candidates with a variety of experience levels and transferable skills are highly welcome to apply.
  • Project Management: Strong multi-tasking skills, with the proven ability to manage tight deadlines across multiple projects simultaneously without letting details slip.
  • Computer Skills: Proficient in Google Workspace or an equivalent suite of office productivity tools.
  • Flexibility: Ability to travel as required for site visits and onsite event support, which may occasionally include evenings and weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity or hands-on experience with Event Management Software (e.g., Cvent).
  • Familiarity with CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Marketing Cloud).
  • Prior experience working within a corporate environment or financial services.

CME Group is seeking skilled and experienced Consultants for a fixed term of engagement from 7/27/2026 to 12/31/2026. CME is committed to offering competitive compensation for our consultants that recognizes their contributions to the business. The hourly pay range for this role is expected to be $35-$40 per hour. The actual pay offered will be dependent on a wide array of factors including but not limited to: relevant experience, skills, education and comparison to internal consultants or employees (where relevant). Please note that while this opportunity is for a consultant role dedicated to CME, the consultant will be directly employed by a third party vendor, which would provide pay and benefits.
