Business Overview
The Marketing Division leads branding, brand asset creation, marketing, and membership as a cross-group organization with a mission to expand Rakuten Group's membership value and ecosystem of over 70 services.
Department Overview
The Brand Strategy & Management Department is in charge of developing and managing Rakuten Group's brand identity and promoting the ONE Brand strategy.
We work daily to establish and further strengthen the Rakuten brand so that it is loved, shared, and used by more consumers.
Brand Management Section is responsible for the development of the brand concept for the Rakuten brand and various services, and the production and management of various brand assets, including the visual identity, under the Rakuten Group brand concept "Unique, yet Unified".
We have a common brand guideline that applies globally and focuses on strengthening the brand management system.
We also designed a brand community of more than 70 services that share a common understanding of the Rakuten brand and work together to nurture the brand and organizes regular community meetings.
In addition, the company promotes inner branding through e-learning and various training programs on the brand for all employees.

Position Details
- Strengthen the brand identity of Rakuten Group's corporate brand and create various brand assets (in collaboration with the in-house design team).
- Support brand identity development for new services, production of various brand assets, and project management.
- Support for solving branding issues for existing services.
- Manage & update brand assets (including updating of internal portal sites).
- Establish and communicate various brand-related guidelines.
- Check brand assets from a trademark perspective (in cooperation with the Intellectual Property Department)
- Plan & execute implementation of e-learning and briefing sessions for inner branding, and design and planning of brand communities.
- Vendor management
Mandatory Qualifications:
- Experience in branding or marketing roles (2‐3 years or more).
- Logical thinking
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Microsoft Office knowledge
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience in global branding.
- Experience in headquarters departments.
