About the Opportunity

An established and rapidly expanding hospitality advisory and brand development business is seeking a highly experienced Marketing, Brand & Communications Manager to join its Cape Town headquarters.

This exciting leadership role is ideal for a commercially minded marketing professional with a passion for hospitality, luxury brands and customer experience. The successful candidate will take ownership of marketing, brand positioning, communications and public relations initiatives across a diverse portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle projects.

Working closely with executive leadership, investors, entrepreneurs and project teams, you will play a key role in shaping brand identities, launching new concepts, driving customer engagement and delivering strategic marketing solutions that support business growth.

This role offers exposure to a broad range of projects including restaurants, hotels, lifestyle destinations, mixed-use developments and hospitality ventures.

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Areas of Responsibility

Strategic Marketing & Brand Development

  • Develop and implement integrated marketing and brand strategies for a portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle projects.
  • Build compelling brand positioning strategies that align with commercial objectives and target markets.
  • Create annual marketing plans, campaign calendars and promotional strategies.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at increasing market presence, customer acquisition and brand loyalty.
  • Conduct ongoing market research to identify consumer trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all communication channels and customer touchpoints.

Digital Marketing & Social Media

  • Lead the digital marketing strategy across multiple brands and projects.
  • Oversee the creation and management of engaging content across social media platforms.
  • Develop content plans incorporating photography, video, written content, campaigns and storytelling initiatives.
  • Manage online communities and customer engagement activities.
  • Implement and optimise paid digital campaigns to maximise reach and performance.
  • Monitor emerging social trends and identify innovative opportunities for audience growth.

Public Relations & Corporate Communications

  • Develop and execute public relations strategies that enhance visibility and strengthen brand reputation.
  • Build strong relationships with media representatives, influencers, industry partners and key stakeholders.
  • Prepare media releases, communications material and corporate messaging.
  • Coordinate launch events, media activations, promotional initiatives and industry engagements.
  • Manage reputation-related matters and provide communication support when required.
  • Identify collaboration, sponsorship and partnership opportunities that strengthen market presence.

Client & Project Support

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on hospitality, tourism and lifestyle development projects.
  • Contribute to concept development, customer experience strategies and market positioning exercises.
  • Participate in workshops, presentations and strategic planning sessions.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to project stakeholders on branding, communications and marketing initiatives.
  • Manage assigned projects and ensure all deliverables are executed to the highest standards.
  • Oversee rebranding projects, promotional campaigns and launch activities from concept through implementation.
  • Prepare professional proposals, strategy documents and client presentations.
  • Conduct competitor analysis, market assessments and consumer research to support strategic recommendations.
  • Track campaign effectiveness and provide detailed performance feedback and recommendation
  • Marketing Operations & Performance Reporting
  • Manage website updates, email campaigns and digital communications.
  • Coordinate the development of marketing collateral including presentations, brochures, promotional material and sales tools.
  • Liaise with creative agencies, designers, photographers, videographers and external suppliers.
  • Support lead generation initiatives and digital growth strategies.
  • Analyse campaign performance across all channels and recommend optimisation opportunities.
  • Prepare regular performance reports, dashboards and ROI analysis for senior management and stakeholders.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Branding, Digital Marketing or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior marketing, communications or brand management role.
  • Previous experience within hospitality, tourism, food and beverage, luxury, lifestyle or related sectors will be highly advantageous.
  • Experience managing multiple brands, campaigns and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.
  • Strong knowledge of digital marketing, public relations, brand management and customer engagement strategies.
  • Proficiency in marketing platforms and tools including Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics and related systems.
  • Exceptional copywriting, presentation and communication skills.
  • Proven project management and organisational abilities.
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with the following experience will receive preference:

  • Hospitality consulting, agency or multi-brand environment exposure.
  • Experience supporting restaurant, hotel or lifestyle brand launches.
  • Photography, videography and content production experience.
  • Exposure to luxury or premium consumer brands.
  • Experience presenting to executive-level stakeholders and investors.

Package & Remuneration

R30,000 – R35,000 per month
