The Product Manager is responsible for overseeing the PrionGuard product range, driving market growth, and supporting long-term marketing strategies. The role involves developing tailored hospital solutions—including draping systems, custom operating procedure packs, and related products—while ensuring strong collaboration with internal teams, suppliers, and key stakeholders in the healthcare sector.
To manage the PrionGuard product portfolio, develop market-driven solutions for hospitals and clinics, and support the organisation’s daily and long-term marketing initiatives. The Product Manager ensures product growth, competitive positioning, and consistent brand representation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Input
Identify growth opportunities and analyse market trends
Gather competitive and customer insights to support sales strategies
Contribute to short- and long-term planning for sales and marketing
Develop marketing tools and identify key promotional opportunities
Product Management
Implement growth strategies for the PrionGuard portfolio
Maintain product specifications, pricing inputs, and portfolio optimisation
Collaborate with suppliers and production teams on product enhancements
Develop product training, technical support tools, and promotional material
Provide inputs for tenders, pricing strategies, and forecasting
Marketing Support
Assist in planning and executing marketing activities to strengthen brand equity
Maintain promotional support for PrionTex and PrionGuard
Manage branding, design marketing materials, and coordinate events
Oversee product launches, promotions, and digital marketing activities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Matric/Grade 12
Tertiary qualification in Science, Sales & Marketing, or Business
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years’ sales and marketing management experience
Proven product management experience within the healthcare/medical devices industry
Strong understanding of the South African healthcare market, including key hospital groups and procurement structures
Valid driver’s license and own vehicle
