Duties & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Brand Strategy: Evolve the brand's positioning to align with the ultra-luxury market while maintaining authenticity and heritage.
  • Digital & Web Presence: Oversee website redevelopment and digital platforms with a refined luxury aesthetic.
  • Public Relations: Lead impactful PR campaigns locally and internationally, securing top-tier media exposure.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure consistency in brand messaging across all customer touchpoints - from digital discovery to on-site experience.
  • Creative Direction: Oversee visual identity, storytelling, and content creation across social, print, and experiential platforms.
  • Partnership Management: Collaborate with agencies, photographers, and content creators to bring the brand vision to life.
  • Market Insight: Stay ahead of luxury market trends and translate insights into actionable strategies

Job Offer

  • Location: Pretoria
  • Work model: Hybrid (remote work options available)
  • Work cycle: Monday-Friday, with standby on select weekends and public holidays
  • Travel: Required to visit lodges and attend in-person meetings

Remuneration:

  • Market-related monthly package (based on experience and qualifications)
  • Provident fund and dreaded disease cover
  • Eligible for performance-based incentives after 12 months of employment

Desired Experience & Qualification

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, Business, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in brand management, ideally within luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle, or premium consumer goods sectors.
  • Demonstrated success in building or evolving a luxury or premium brand with measurable results.
  • Proven experience in PR, digital marketing, creative campaigns, and brand partnerships.
  • Exposure to website redevelopment, digital UX projects, or luxury positioning.
  • Experience engaging global or high-net-worth (HNW/UHNW) audiences is a must

Technical Skills:

  • Strong grasp of brand strategy, customer journey mapping, and positioning frameworks.
  • Familiarity with PR tools, analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush), and brand performance metrics.
  • Competence in creative direction, including briefing designers, content creators, and photographers.
  • Understanding of luxury marketing principles, such as exclusivity, sensory storytelling, and experiential branding.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proven experience in luxury or ultra-luxury branding, preferably in hospitality, travel, or lifestyle industries.
  • Exceptional storytelling ability - both visual and strategic.
  • Deep understanding of affluent consumer behaviour and how to reach HNW audiences.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to work across diverse teams.
  • A passion for South Africa and the African bush, with a desire to showcase its beauty to the world.
  • Strong business acumen and administrative experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and operate independently.
