    Job Description

    Role Purpose:

    Seedcare by Syngenta:

    Seedcare is crucial for safeguarding the genetic potential of high-value seeds. It involves treating seeds to protect them from diseases, pests, nematodes, and abiotic stresses (such as drought).Syngenta’s Seedcare portfolio includes products, application services, and support capabilities.

    The three pillars of their Seedcare offer are P.A.S.:

    • Products: Syngenta provides a range of seed treatments
    • Application: Ensuring high-quality application services beyond seed protection.
    • Services: Range of services provided through SCI

    Portfolio Management:

     To drive Seedcare Portfolio in India

    • Create the Seedcare portfolio strategy and the strategic imperatives
    • Product planning, launch and Lifecycle management
    • Collaborate with Divisional leadership Team and Business managers for driving business
    • Portfolio establishment support to Key Account Team
    • Seek avenues for business growth and expansion- BEB/ Onfarm/ Multipliers set up.

    Accountabilities:

    Seedcare Portfolio shaping and establishment responsibilities:

    • Identify market opportunities and initiate projects to expand reach, penetration, and market share.
    • Lead portfolio mapping and ideation efforts to build a robust product pipeline aligned with market needs.
    • Responsible for Product Life Cycle Management
    • Monitor competition and industry trends to proactively shape product and market strategies
    • Develop and implement marketing strategies, including product positioning, branding, and promotional activities
    • Lead successful NPI launches with Division and Business Managers in their respective geographies

    Collaboration

    • Work closely with key internal stakeholders including Supply Chain, Finance, Business Teams, and CPD to ensure smooth execution of Supplies, Trials and Registrations
    • Provide strategic inputs for demand planning

    Capability Building and Training:

    • Identify skill gaps within the team regarding Brand and Marketing capabilities of Team. Develop training programs, workshops, and resources to enhance the understanding and adoption of portfolio

    Resource and Budget Management:

    • Implement processes to effectively allocate resources, including budgets accross Divisions. Optimize resource utilization to ensure efficient delivery and maximize return on investment.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Engage with key stakeholders, including the functional leadership team, Key account Team , and onground teams, to understand their needs and expectations.
    • Work with some important  key accounts to provide Product Knowledge support

    Qualifications

    Knowledge, experience & capabilities

    • Indian CP and Seeds market knowledge
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required. Advanced degree (e.g. MBA) highly desirable.

    Critical experience.

    • 5+ Year of Sales and marketing experience in Crop Protection markets
    • Commercial, portfolio management responsibilities
    • Knowledge of cross function process management in R&D, Supply Chain and Marketing.           (Knowledge of Product Management Preferred)

    • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams as well as independently.
    • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking
    • Key stakeholder management and influencing across functional and regional boundaries
