Purpose of the Role
The Europe Communications & Brand Intern accelerates and executes strategic communications and branding work across the region by providing hands-on delivery, coordination and content creation support. The role helps build consistency on people, impact and employer branding messages across sites and channels, collaborating with the Communications Network and internal stakeholders
Key Roles & Responsibilities
1. Channel Planning and Coordination
Provide input to the Europe editorial calendar for internal and external communications, ensuring people, impact and DIB&E topics are represented. Align timing and themes of regional messages with global campaigns, corporate priorities and country-level activations. Coordinate with the Communications Network and local contacts to collect needs, share plans and follow up on execution.
2. Digital and Platform Content Management
Maintain and develop a cross-regional editorial calendar to support content publication for local internal channels (e.g. News Boards, Red Zone, SharePoint/Teams spaces), prioritizing culture, people, impact and DIB&E stories. Draft and localize short-form content (headlines, teasers, posts) for internal digital platforms and Europe Digital and SoMe channels, ensuring brand and tone-of-voice consistency. Support tracking of content performance (basic metrics, learnings) to refine editorial choices.
3. On-site Visibility & Employee Touchpoints
Act as liaison between Europe Communications and local leadership/People/Plant contacts, ensuring messages, visuals and timelines are clearly communicated and followed. Connect with Europe Comms Network to secure Keep local notice boards, TV screens and other physical touchpoints updated with current campaigns, safety, HR and impact messages, working closely with site focal points. Collect photos, quotes and success stories from sites to feed regional storytelling and recognition campaigns.
4. Social Media & Brand Support
Support creation, adaptation and scheduling of content for Europe website and LinkedIn in line with product leadership, impact and employer branding priorities. Ensure visual and verbal brand consistency across all materials (templates, presentations, posters, videos, LinkedIn posts). Help manage simple design adaptations using approved templates and tools, escalating larger creative needs to agencies or central design support – connecting with Design Agency when needed.
