Sports Direct Malaysia is currently looking for Brand Marketing Executive to join our growing team.
Sports Direct Malaysia currently operates a total of 40 retail stores domestically and manages a proprietary SportsDirect.com e-commerce site for domestic and regional fulfillment. Sports Direct Malaysia offers over 70 of the leading authentic global sports brands, offering the widest variety of choice and value. The company employs over 1000 staff with a view to expanding rapidly across Asia in the coming years.
We have developed a new generation of stores as part of our multi channel elevation strategy, to enhance the customer experience at every step of the journey. Our focus is on presenting an unrivalled range of quality products at excellent value in a modern spacious environment. The stores are uniquely zoned by key sports categories which include; SD Football, SD Running, SD Training (fitness, cross training, gym equipment, weights, boxing, yoga), SD Rackets (badminton, tennis, squash), SD Swimming (pool, beach, water sports), SD Sports (basketball, rugby, extreme games, cycling, skates & indoor games), SD Lifestyle (Men, Women & Kids) & SD Outdoor (Hiking, trekking, camping & fishing).
Brand Strategy & Awareness
- Plan and strategize effective ways to grow group brand awareness and credibility in the market, with specific ownership of assigned brand portfolio(s).
- Support the development and execution of 360° marketing strategies that align Sports Direct group branding with third-party brand objectives.
- Strategize and execute initiatives to increase brand awareness and product sales across retail stores and e-commerce platforms nationwide.
Campaign Planning & Execution
- Plan, liaise, coordinate, and execute all marketing campaigns with third-party brands in the portfolio, including:
- Brand and product campaigns
- Product launches
- Assist in managing campaigns end-to-end, ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality execution across all channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with designers, Visual Merchandising (VM), retail operations, digital, and e-commerce teams to ensure seamless execution of campaigns and events.
- Plan and assist across all marketing aspects including corporate sales, branding, retail, influencer, and digital marketing, ensuring consistency and alignment.
PR, Media & Marketing Opportunities
- Handle PR-related matters relevant to campaigns, including coordination with media, influencers, and external partners.
- Source and evaluate new marketing and advertising opportunities to enhance brand exposure and campaign effectiveness.
Reporting, Budget & Documentation
- Prepare brand-related reports, including fund tracking, performance analysis, and supporting documentation required to claim marketing funds from brand partners.
- Monitor and oversee monthly budget spending for each assigned brand portfolio.
- Handle all documentation-related processes, including issuing relevant documents, invoice follow-ups, and proper filing.
- Prepare campaign reports and post-activation summaries for supervisor review.
Market Intelligence
- Conduct market research to assess consumer trends, brand awareness, sports culture, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights and recommendations to support future planning and brand positioning.
- Present performance reports and strategic recommendations to leadership.
