As Brand and Communications Specialist, you will be responsible for the planning, execution and monitoring of brand, product and digital marketing campaigns in ZEISS India Marketing function. You will be accountable for wing to wing process of understanding campaign objectives, planning, creating and executing the marketing campaigns while continuously improving marketing processes and business outcomes. The successful candidate will have a passion for collaboration with horizontal marketing and product teams and the ability to manage agencies, vendors and all other relevant stakeholders.
 

This role is essential for building brand equity, ensuring cohesive and effective communication, and maximizing the impact of trade shows and events, ultimately supporting the organization’s growth and visibility in the ophthalmic market.

Job Description

Responsibilities

Brand Messaging & Content Development:

  • Develop clear and compelling brand messaging and visual content for marketing materials, presentations, digital platforms, and product collateral.
  • Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing and Product Management teams to create consistent and effective messaging that supports product positioning and customer engagement.

Integrated Marketing Campaigns:

  • Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns that span digital, print, and social media channels to raise awareness and promote the OPT product portfolio.
  • Track and analyze campaign performance to optimize content and strategies for better engagement and reach.

Event & Tradeshow Coordination:

  • Organize and manage the logistics for the organization’s participation in industry conferences, tradeshows, and CME events, including booth design, event materials, and branding.
  • Work with the Strategic Marketing Manager to align event themes and objectives with broader marketing and sales goals, ensuring cohesive brand representation.
  • Develop event specific product campaigns to increase footfall in the booth.

External & Internal Communications:

  • Serve as the point person for all external communications, including press releases, newsletters, product announcements, and media relations, ensuring messaging aligns with brand standards.
  • Manage internal communication efforts to keep sales, product teams, and other stakeholders informed on upcoming events, marketing activities, and product updates.
  • Adaption of global branding and marketing communications programs and campaigns for region in alignment with business and Marketing Strategy team.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate branding and integrating corporate guidelines into communication programs.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Management:

  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including website content updates, social media management, and email campaigns to increase product visibility and engagement.
  • Maintain and monitor social media channels, posting relevant content and engaging with followers to build brand awareness and strengthen customer relationships.

Collateral & Asset Management:

  • Develop, manage, and update all marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, banners, and other collateral needed for events, sales support, and product promotions.
  • Ensure all materials are current, accessible, and consistent with brand guidelines, providing the sales team with high-quality resources for customer interactions.

Vendor & Budget Management:

  • Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and printers to ensure quality and timely production of marketing assets.
  • Oversee the marketing communications and event budget, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation and maximizing ROI.

Customer Engagement Programs:

  • Collaborate with the Strategic Marketing and Sales teams to develop customer engagement initiatives, such as webinars, virtual workshops, and educational series, to support customer retention and loyalty.
  • Plan and promote content for these programs to drive attendance, engagement, and brand loyalty.

Event ROI Analysis & Reporting:

  • Track and analyze the effectiveness of trade shows and events, including attendance, lead generation, and customer engagement metrics.
  • Provide detailed post-event reports to assess ROI, identifying areas for improvement and recommending enhancements for future events.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing communications or digital marketing, preferably in Healthcare/Pharma/Med-tech industry/Creative agencies in healthcare domain
  • Experience in social media marketing– organic and paid campaigns, web/digital content marketing, SEO, SEM, and other digital platforms
  • Master’s Degree in Marketing, Communications or related field
  • Robust knowledge of integrated marketing communications and digital marketing strategies
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills
  • Proven ability to motivate and work effectively with diverse, cross-functional global teams and outside vendors
  • Ability to operate under pressure, within tight deadlines and dynamic environments
  • Knowledge of office, marketing automation, technical and digital tools, such as Microsoft Office, Marketo, Adobe, Sitecore, Google /Adobe Analytics, SEM Rush, and content management platforms
  • Demonstrated project management and budget skills
  • Strong business acumen, analytical and process skills, ability to translate output to outcomes and details oriented.
