Visual and Creative Brand designer - Cape Town, WC Western Cape

  Purpose of the Role Strengthen the brand identity by creating, executing, and evolving visual design across all brand and customer/member-facing platforms. Deliver high-impact creative assets, ensure consistency, and collaborate with internal teams to support strategic business objectives.

Job Specification

Qualifications & Experience
  • Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a graphic design role (creative agency or corporate environment)

Offer

  • Experience designing for digital marketing, web, and social media
  • Knowledge of print production, packaging design, and final artwork processes
  • Experience working within structured brand systems and evolving visual identity guidelines
  • Bonus Skills: Basic HTML/CSS, familiarity with UI/UX design principles, experience with Figma or Sketch
  • Key Skills & Knowledge
    • Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
    • Strong conceptual thinking with the ability to turn ideas into compelling visuals
    • Excellent command of layout, typography, colour, and branding principles
    • Ability to lead, mentor, and provide creative direction
    • Team-oriented with strong communication and leadership skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in creative discussions
    Core Duties & Responsibilities 1. Design & Brand Management
    • Conceptualize, design, and execute visual content across print and digital platforms
    • Oversee design projects ensuring alignment with brand guidelines
    • Provide creative direction and mentorship to junior designers
    • Maintain and evolve the brand’s visual identity and style guide
    • Stay current with industry trends and emerging techniques
    2. Product & Packaging Design
    • Design packaging for new product launches and rebrands
    • Create mock-ups and concepts during product ideation stages
    • Work with photographers or direct shoots to produce high-quality imagery
    3. Campaigns & Member Engagement
    • Design creative assets for launches, promotions, and themed campaigns
    • Collaborate on training decks, guides, infographics, and event materials
    • Manage multiple projects, ensuring high quality and meeting deadlines
    4. Publications & Content Design
    • Design layouts for magazines, catalogues, and other Member-focused publications
    • Enhance the visual experience of the Member Portal and other digital platforms
