Sr. Director of Marketing and Branding

Position Summary

The Sr. Director of Marketing and Branding will lead the development and execution of comprehensive marketing strategies to enhance brand awareness, drive customer engagement, and support revenue growth. This role is responsible for overseeing branding, marketing communications, digital marketing, and creative teams to ensure consistent messaging and positioning across all platforms. The ideal candidate is a visionary leader with proven experience in building strong brands, driving marketing innovation, and delivering measurable results.
 

This is a rare and exciting opportunity that blends both B2B and B2C marketing. We are seeking a candidate with demonstrated experience in both areas who can confidently navigate and execute strategies that appeal to a variety of customer segments and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy & Leadership:

  • Develop and implement the overall marketing strategy aligned with company goals and objectives.
  • Lead the marketing team, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure successful execution of campaigns.
  • Oversee the development of annual marketing plans, including advertising, content, and promotional strategies to increase brand visibility and revenue.

Brand Development:

  • Define and refine the brand's identity, positioning, and messaging to differentiate it in the market.
  • Ensure consistent communication of the brand’s identity across all marketing and communication channels, including trade shows, digital, social, and traditional media.
  • Monitor brand health through research, analytics, and market feedback to make data-driven decisions.

Digital & Traditional Marketing:

  • Oversee all digital marketing initiatives, including SEO/SEM, social media, email marketing, trade shows, and online advertising.
  • Coordinate integrated campaigns that leverage digital and offline channels to drive customer acquisition and retention.
  • Ensure marketing materials and communications align with brand guidelines and resonate with target audiences.

Creative Direction:

  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop innovative and impactful visual content, advertising, and storytelling that align with brand values.
  • Oversee the development of creative assets, including videos, graphics, and written content for various platforms.

Market Research & Analytics:

  • Conduct regular market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitive landscape.
  • Develop KPIs to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and branding efforts.
  • Develop and use data analytics to track campaign performance and optimize strategies for greater ROI.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Partner with operations, sales, and other internal teams to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external agencies, vendors, and media partners.
  • Present marketing and branding strategies and performance updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Budget Management:

  • Manage the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to maximize return on investment.
  • Evaluate marketing investments and adjust optimize cost-efficiency and impact.

Innovation & Thought Leadership:

  • Stay current with emerging trends in digital marketing, branding, and customer engagement.
  • Introduce new marketing approaches, tools, and technologies to improve effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, events, and in public forums to promote brand presence and thought leadership.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • 8-10+ years of experience in marketing, branding, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership or senior management role.
  • Proven track record of building and executing successful marketing and branding strategies for national brand(s) and high-growth organizations.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, content marketing, and market analytics.
  • Exceptional communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring teams across multiple marketing disciplines (digital, creative, communications).
  • Ability to think strategically and analytically, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Proficiency with marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, HubSpot, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
  • Exposure to both B2B and B2C marketing environments strongly preferred

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in C-Store, Food, and/ or consumer-focused markets.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills with external partners and agencies.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
