Introduction

The Marketing and Brand Strategy Coordinator plays a key role in planning, implementing, and monitoring marketing initiatives across the Ear Institute’s national footprint (South Africa and Namibia). This individual is responsible for aligning brand messaging, supporting strategic goals, and enhancing customer engagement across all touchpoints — including digital platforms, events, and campaigns.

The ideal candidate is creative, analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering consistent and impactful brand experiences

Duties & Responsibilities

Key Performance Areas (KPAs) and Responsibilities:

1. Marketing Strategy Design & Planning

  • Analyse previous marketing data, patient records, and feedback from branches to inform strategy.
  • Conduct competitor and industry analysis to identify trends, threats, and opportunities.
  • Work closely with the Founder/CEO to align marketing plans with business goals and values.
  • Track and report on the year-on-year success of marketing efforts.

2. Strategy Implementation & Oversight

  • Develop short-term (quarterly) and long-term (annual) marketing plans.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to roll out campaigns and initiatives.
  • Negotiate media partnerships and ensure cost-effective marketing spend.
  • Ensure timely delivery and quality assurance of all marketing material.
  • Monitor campaign deadlines, delegate tasks, and ensure alignment with brand voice.

3. Campaign Development & Communication

  • Create and coordinate marketing content for various channels and target audiences.
  • Oversee scheduling and publishing of content across digital platforms and media outlets.
  • Inform branches and internal teams about campaigns through newsletters, team meetings, and platforms like Beekeeper.
  • Collaborate with Customer Care to ensure they are briefed on all public-facing campaigns.

4. Events & Promotions

  • Maintain the annual marketing events calendar, avoiding overlaps and ensuring full preparation.
  • Plan and manage exhibition stands, goody bags, event branding, and marketing kits.
  • Coordinate logistics such as stock, corporate wear, and accommodation.
  • Track leads generated from events and digital engagements.

5. Branding & Corporate Identity

  • Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all platforms and locations (SA & Namibia).
  • Approve branch-level campaigns and designs to maintain brand standards.
  • Package and order branded consumables and collateral for Head Office and branches.

6. Branch Rollouts & Marketing Support

  • Prepare proposals and branding plans for new branch signage and interior design.
  • Liaise with designers and the property department to implement marketing elements at branch level.

7. Digital Marketing & Content Management

  • Monitor and update the Ear Institute’s website and business listings.
  • Coordinate the creation and scheduling of social media content.
  • Draft and distribute bulk SMS communications and newsletters.
  • Monitor analytics across platforms and report on engagement levels, lead generation, and performance.

  • % Increase in branch walk-ins, leads, and sales
  • Campaign delivery deadlines met and content accuracy
  • Brand consistency across all platforms
  • Website and social media engagement metrics
  • Feedback from internal teams and clients
  • Monthly reporting on campaign performance and ROI

 

 

Desired Experience & Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in marketing coordination or brand strategy
  • Experience in digital marketing, campaign management, and event planning
  • Healthcare industry exposure is advantageous but not essential

Skills & Attributes:

  • Fluent in English (Afrikaans beneficial)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and project execution skills
  • Analytical thinker with attention to detail
  • Creative flair with an understanding of brand consistency
  • Comfortable working with digital platforms, content scheduling tools, and Google Analytics
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across departments
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
