Job Title: Digital, Brand and Marketing Manager

Salary Range: $75,000 to $100,000 per year (Based on experience, education and qualifications)
Description:
Reporting to the Head of Communications, the Digital, Brand and Marketing Manager helps lead the brand, digital, and marketing strategy for the Diocese of Orange. This includes implementing brand strategies, generating ideas for creative content and developing social media and digital marketing objectives to ensure the Diocese grows in innovation and consistency, better supporting its mission. The position is based at the Diocese's Pastoral Center on Christ Cathedral Campus headquarters in Garden Grove, CA.
The Manager oversees the Diocesan social media strategy and tactics, helping to align its mission across all social platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), YouTube and LinkedIn.
This role will develop and lead a data-driven digital marketing strategy to boost audience engagement, streamline operations and maintain a consistent brand approach.
The Manager's digital, branding and marketing efforts ultimately ensure that critical, timely, factual and branded diocesan messages reach broad Catholic and non-Catholic audiences in the most strategic, creative and effective ways.

The position of Digital, Brand and Marketing Manager consists of some or all of the following duties:
Digital and Social Media
- Using the latest trends and best practices, develop social media and brand strategies that drive evangelization, awareness of diocesan and Cathedral initiatives, and build and protect the Diocese of Orange's reputation.
- Reviews digital media continuously to ensure all is up-to-date and follows proper brand and strategy protocol.
- Support parishes on an as-needed basis to empower and equip with the best digital media practices.
- Drive the integration of social media platforms and rcbo.org and ChristCathedralca.org.
- Oversee the diocesan social media calendar.
- Develop plans to produce digital advertising for social media, websites and other media as required to support diocesan events and news.
- Create a framework for budgeting digital marketing and social media.
- Drive innovation solutions for clients with insights from social listening.
- Analyze, review and report of on effectiveness of all social media activity using data and analytics.
- Lead monitoring efforts and provide online crisis support with guidance from Head of Communications.
Brand and Marketing
- Oversight of brand identity including, but not limited to, social media channels, website pages and functions, email communication, jumbotron, print materials, physical signage, videos and photography style.
- Develop relationships and collaborate with Pastoral Center Departments on creative strategy and promotion plans.
- Works with vendors (designers, videographers, web developers, photographers, etc.) to ensure brand identity is unified and talents are used effectively. Provides feedback for revisions and approvals.
- Review of analytics to improve functions and measure public perception via traffic flow, search keywords, target demographics, retention rates, etc.
- Supports efforts to streamline communication requests to ensure campaigns move forward effectively.
- Oversee possible comms internal page 'communications.rcbo.org' that includes our live documents, request forms, management systems, FileCamp, etc.
- Continual development and evaluation of ideas to boost user engagement and advance diocesan media and brand.
- Email blast to public video content (weekly reflections/testimonials), etc.
- Works with the IT Department to create new webpages for events, ministries and more.
Management
- This role has two direct reports: Social Media Coordinator and Digital and Social Media Strategist for Youth and Young Adults.
- Oversees contract vendors for graphic design, video and photography.
Other
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills:
- Passion and/or familiarity of Roman Catholic teachings and doctrine.
- Minimum of three years of work experience in a social, digital or communications role.
- Demonstrated fluency in social and digital media.
- Brand strategy experience.
- Experience managing staff is a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative work environment.
- Proficiency in Adobe Suite, Canva, Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Impeccable time-management skills and a history of meeting deadlines.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- To perform duties of the job, the employee may on a regular basis be required to stand, sit, talk, hear/listen, reach, stoop, kneel and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, keyboard and other office equipment. Close vision requirements apply due to the nature of computer work.
