We are in search of a vibrant, passionate, and well-informed professional to join our Field Marketing team in the role of Brand Activations Lead. The ideal candidate should possess a deep understanding of Garden Route Townships and demonstrate expertise in effectively activating and promoting a brand.

The Brand Activation Lead is fundamental in creating awareness, generating interest and driving adoption in the company’s offering. They will be responsible for overseeing and driving all aspects of our branding, reseller, affiliate and hotspot activations, including planning, logistics, cross-departmental collaboration, promotion, and execution. The Brand Activation Lead will report directly into the Marketing Manager.

  • Develop and execute activation plans that align with the company's overall marketing and branding strategy.
  • Lead new market entry research and develop strategies on how to enter new communities.
  • Identify and activate key activation partners.
  • Manage all aspects of activation logistics, including venue selection, vendor negotiations, catering, transportation, and audio/visual equipment.
  • Create and execute promotional campaigns to drive attendance and engagement at activations.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of activations.
  • Manage staffing and adhere to pre-approved budgets for activations, including tracking expenses and reconciling invoices.
  • Collaborate with the reseller Manager to identify new Hotspot locations.
  • Activate new and low performing Hotspots areas.
  • Conduct post-activation evaluations to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify new branding opportunities in new and existing communities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in event planning and marketing.
  • Manage Brand Representatives to effectively represent the TooMuchWifi brand. 
  • Achieve KPI targets assigned to this role.
  • Comply with the Company’s policies, processes and values.
  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • Certificate or higher qualification in the field of Marketing, Project Management, Event Management or similar fields of study will be an advantage. 
  • Computer literacy.
  • 3 years relevant work experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in event & activation planning and marketing
  • Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically to develop engaging and effective events and activations.
  • Knowledge of event marketing and promotional techniques.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and event management software.
