We are seeking a dynamic and creative Fashion Product, Brand & Packaging Designer to join a leading importer and distributor of fashion and beauty accessories.
Duties & Responsibilities
This hybrid role bridges the creative and commercial sides of the business, and is ideal for someone with a strong design background who also thrives in a fast-paced, seasonal buying environment.
You will be responsible for creating innovative product designs, leading packaging and brand development, and overseeing the full lifecycle from concept to store, including supplier engagement, cost negotiation, sales forecasting, and seasonal supply chain planning. Key Responsibilities: Product & Packaging Design:
Design seasonal collections across fashion accessories, gifting, and beauty lines (hair, bath, novelty, etc.)
Develop original product concepts including sketches, mockups, tech packs, and trend presentations
Design creative, cost-effective packaging that aligns with brand identity and retail requirements
Conduct trend research and competitor analysis to ensure commercially relevant output
Collaborate with illustrators, graphic designers, and factories on prototypes and sampling
Brand Development:
Develop and evolve product branding across categories, ensuring consistency and relevance
Create style guides and brand books for internal and supplier use
Work on naming, taglines, and storytelling for new brands or seasonal ranges
Buying, Sales & Range Building:
Assist with seasonal range planning aligned to trend and sales performance
Review sales data to guide product selection and phase-outs
Liaise with retail buyers and sales reps to present new lines and collect feedback
Ensure product pricing aligns with margin targets and market expectations
Supplier & Supply Chain Coordination:
Source and liaise directly with overseas and local suppliers
Ensure packaging and product designs are production-ready and factory-compliant
Work with the logistics and warehouse team to manage timelines for seasonal drops
Track critical paths for seasonal product launches and ensure timely delivery
Requirements:
Qualification: Degree or diploma in Fashion Design, Industrial/Product Design, Visual Communication, or a related field
Experience: Minimum 3 years in a design-led fashion or consumer product environment, ideally with buying or planning exposure
Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign; Excel and PowerPoint essential
Bonus: Understanding of import/export, shipping terms, and basic supply chain processes
