Job Description

As the Director of Brand Development & Commercialization for our Therma-Tru and Larson Storm Doors brands, you will guide and manage brand positioning and go-to-market strategies across two of our most recognized and innovative brands. You will be responsible for shaping brand identity, developing commercialization plans, and driving strategic growth through new product introductions, cross-channel marketing, and integrated brand campaigns.

This role requires strong oversight of omnichannel marketing strategy—including content, PR, digital, and social—and a deep understanding of the full marketing funnel. You’ll guide execution while ensuring consistency in brand voice, alignment with business priorities, and optimization based on market trends and insights.

Position location: This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based out of Deerfield, IL. Effective mid-2025, Fortune Brands will transition to a new world-class campus in Deerfield, bringing together associates from across our U.S. offices, brands, and functions. The campus will offer vibrant workspaces for collaboration, along with amenities for dining, onsite daycare, fitness and recreation.

What you will be doing

  • Manage the annual brand planning and budget development for Therma-Tru and Larson lines.
  • Oversee go-to-market and commercialization strategies for new products and initiatives.
  • Collaborate across teams to define product positioning, messaging, and launch plans.
  • Work It Together with internal partners to ensure consistent branding across all channels.
  • Translate brand strategy into clear marketing programs that align with business goals.
  • Think Fast by using market insights to guide planning and improve performance.
  • Manage timelines and deliverables; communicate progress and flag risks when needed.
  • Direct creative agencies and support asset development like imagery and 3D renderings.
  • Help select products for key trade shows and prepare content like messaging and videos.
  • Manage budgets to ensure marketing investments meet business needs.
  • Share updates, results, and plans with key stakeholders and leadership.
  • Make the Hard Call by making smart trade-offs that support long-term brand growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field required.
  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience, including brand strategy, go-to-market planning, and product commercialization.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and developing high-performing marketing teams, with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and team engagement.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with internal stakeholders (e.g., Product, Sales, Creative, Digital) and external partners (e.g., agencies, vendors).
  • Proven ability to manage complex marketing projects from strategy through execution—delivering on-time and within budget.
  • Hands-on experience with omnichannel marketing strategies, including digital campaigns, content development, social media, and traditional media.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate data and insights into actionable recommendations.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $140,000 USD - $200,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
