POSITION SUMMARY:
As the Brand Packaging Project Manager, you will play a vital role in our Marketing team’s success. The Brand Packaging Project Manager will manage the creative briefing process for all packaging through coordination of cross-functional teams and timely aggregation and submission of all packaging information – including but not limited to – product details, visual content, copy, legal, and compliance. The role will be responsible for gathering critical information and submitting seasonal packaging briefs that include brand-verified information, as well as ensuring that packaging meets commercially compliant regulations and standards, as provided by Regulatory and Compliance. The Brand Packaging Project Manager is accountable for ensuring packaging briefs are submitted on time and in-full with an output that is consistent with brand guidelines.
This role will manage packaging for brands in the Consumer, Entrepreneurial, and Footwear Accessories categories at Implus.

Essential Job Function:
|
|
Cross-Functional Project Management:
- Lead end-to-end development and submission of packaging briefs into Creative team through aggregation of cross-functional inputs from Product, Marketing, Creative, Legal, and Compliance.
- Orchestrate aggregation of all packaging components and information for packaging briefs – including die lines, packaging copy and imagery, and regulatory claims and information.
- Liaise with Brand Project Manager to support prioritization of Packaging projects within the broader Creative queue.
- Direct engagement with Legal and Compliance to ensure information entered in packaging brief is compliant with Brand, Operations Compliance, and Commercial regulations and standards – including implementation of claims, warnings, icons, and retailer-specific requirements.
- In collaboration with the US Commercial team, react to commercial opportunities to communicate packaging needs back into the Creative team – including delivery timelines, die lines, languages, and retailer and regional compliance information
- Oversee packaging proofing process with Creative team to enable on-time production.
- Manage sell-in packaging requests, inclusive of commercial requests. Liaise with third-party packaging vendors to complete and deliver retailer-specific packaging mock-ups, as needed.
Creative:
- Collaborate with Creative, Product and Marketing teams to coordinate product and lifestyle imagery to be featured on packaging.
- Maintain visibility in digital proofing process. Support creative designers in receiving on-time feedback from key stakeholders on digital proofs to ensure project is delivered on-time.
- Monitor physical packaging proofing progress via shared documentation, with collective inputs from Product Development, Creative and Product Management.
Branding and Messaging:
- Maintain brand standards and guidelines across all packaging.
- Drive alignment with Marketing and Product teams on approved messaging for packaging.
- Work with Product team to aggregate content and messaging for inserts and manuals that help the consumer understand how to use the product.
- Identify the need for translations and support the Marketing and Creative teams in implementing translations for regional markets, as needed.
- Have a perspective on how to impactfully showcase brands on packaging at retail.

Other Functions:

|
Packaging Engineering Coordination:
- Collaborate with Packaging Engineers to develop and receive die lines that meet product and retail needs.
- Support the Compliance team with distribution of H2R logos as they apply to packaging and assist with submissions only as needed.
Private Label Packaging:
- Manage the coordination of packaging deliverables needed to support Private Label business(es).

Preferred Qualifications:
|
- At least three years of packaging and/or project management experience is preferred
- A passion for collaborating across teams
- A dedication to developing brand stories and memorable brand awareness
- Professional and proactive work ethic with a desire to grow professionally – particularly in the Marketing department
- Interest in brand and / or retailer marketing.
- Familiarity with the creative side of marketing and design.

Education & Experience:
|
|
An Associate and / or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management or a related field of study is preferred.
|
